Google News: Google to release separate mobile search index

Recently in one of the largest conferences on digital marketing Pubcon 2016 a webmaster trends analyst with Google Gary Illyes has declared surprising news: in several months the organization is launching a separate search results for mobile users.

At the same time it is planned not only to add a mobile index but also to make it primary, and a desktop one will be secondary. So mobile search results will be much more up-to-date.

It is not the first time when Google underlines that modern site should be responsive for mobile devices, because the number of mobile users is increasing year by year.

Google Mobile Friendly Test service was released 2 years ago in November 2014 and the Incorporation declared the responsive websites will be ranked higher in search.
The release of a separate mobile search index is not even a hint but a strong request for website owners to make design resposive for tablets and smartphones.

Some statistics:
According to the opinion poll Nielsen (October 2016), 44% of Russian consumers do online shopping via their smartphones, and an average world index is 38% by now.

Now nobody knows how the new method will work, what will happen to the desktop index, but we think that one should be prepared to the on-coming changes.

That is why we provide all Open Real Estate website owners an opportunity to keep up with the times with our responsive theme “Atlas” only for $100!
